Work Hours:
- (2) 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm shifts, (3) 9:00 am – 5:00 pm shifts, and (2) Sundays a month from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Position Overview:
- Performs all pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail, visual acuity, depth perception, pressures, color vision, and more.
- Knowledge of basic ocular medical terminology and abbreviations
- Ability to complete patient work including but not limited to auto-refraction and Visual Fields.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records by gathering medical history information.
- Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance of the doctor's exam lane and pre-test equipment.
- Scribe for an optometrist
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be available to workday, evening, and two Sunday shifts a month.
- High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or equivalent related job experience
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills are required.
- This position requires a team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EMR experience
- Scribe experienced.
- Optometric tech experience
