Time Type: Full-Time

Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a mid-level associate with strong experience in corporate governance and shareholder activism. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior partners on high-stakes matters, contribute to the shareholder activism team, and develop and maintain client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on shareholder activism and corporate governance matters.

• Collaborate with senior partners on high-profile campaigns and transactions.

• Contribute to the strategic direction of the shareholder activism practice.

• Manage and strengthen client relationships through effective communication and execution.

Qualifications:

• JD or equivalent.

• Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (New York preferred) and in good standing.

• Demonstrated expertise in securities law, corporate governance, and shareholder activism.

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.

• Ability to operate independently and thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while collaborating with cross-functional deal teams.

Compensation: $260,000/yr - $365,000/yr depending on experience levelComprehensive Benefits
