Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have experience in dental reception and office operation duties. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office while maintaining an exceptional patient experience. We offer flexible scheduling, excellent work/life balance, and open to candidates that can work anywhere from one to five days per week!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients warmly and professionally.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments to optimize the provider's schedule.
  • Verify and update patient insurance information, ensuring accurate billing and claims processing.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or routing calls to the appropriate team member.
  • Maintain and organize patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Assist in coordinating referrals and pre-authorizations as needed.
  • Monitor and manage the office schedule to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
  • Support office marketing efforts by discussing promotions and services with patients.
  • Explain procedures, costs, and payment options clearly.
  • Handle patient payments, post transactions, and manage financial arrangements.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in a dental or healthcare front desk role is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, and/or Denticon).
  • Knowledge of dental insurance billing and coding preferred.
  • Treatment planning and coordination experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in dental administration is a plus.
