- The company is a construction company and needs A/E support
WHAT
-
Work with the company as a support role, PM, and in technical aspects of a Mechanical Engineer.
- HUGE plus: Experience in both Military Construction and Civil works projects.
- Some of the specifics that may be part of this role include:
- Record keeping, budget, and schedule monitoring
- Inspection, reporting progress, safety monitoring, and meeting attendance
- Testing and responding to information requests
- Commissioning with in-house personnel
- Design phase services in the basic disciplines of mechanical engineering
i. HUGE plus : electrical engineering
- Plus: corrosion control, seismic upgrade, and abatement of hazardous materials knowledge.
- Plus: ( but not required ) Civil Works experience in dredging and beach fill operations, shoreline protection, hurricane and storm damage reduction, flood risk management, beach erosion control, wetlands creation, and locks and dams.
- Note other comments: This role is supporting the company who needs our engineering skills.
- The A/E project team has the capability to perform the basic construction management disciplines (i.e. architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical ) as well as commissioning with in-house personnel; joint venture or firm/consultant arrangements will be considered and evaluated for demonstrated interdependency of the members to provide services in the basic disciplines as well as specialty fields.
- The above-mentioned design services will only be incidental to and in support of the Construction Management Services the A/E will be performing. This contract will require experience in both Military Construction and Civil works projects.
REQUIREMENTS

The position calls for mechanical skills. However, they should possess the skills of a mechanical engineer and be capable of performing PM duties (reporting, organization, communication internally and externally)
- #1 rank: Mechanical Engineer
- Mechanical engineering in construction, building, or work similar
- Construction experience (large buildings a plus)
- Experience on federal or government projects is a plus
- Direct experience with any of the items listed above a plus
- Good organization and communication skills
