Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Enthusiastic professionals are sought to provide specialized speech-language therapy in a supportive educational environment. This part-time, onsite role is focused on delivering direct services to one homebound student with multiple disabilities, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and tools.
Qualifications:
- Active NY Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Clinical Certification of Competence (CCC)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy
- Proficient in using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Familiarity with teletherapy practices
Location:
Bedford, NY
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to the assigned student
- Assess student needs and develop tailored therapeutic plans
- Implement and monitor the use of AAC devices to enhance communication
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the student's overall development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
