The Scheduling Representative provides all scheduling and phone support to Evergreen Health’s primary and specialty care facilities. They will collaborate and support team members to ensure a patient-focused approach to care. As part of the Essential Functions for this role, the Scheduling Representative:
- Receives and handles a variety of incoming/outgoing calls for Evergreen’s primary and specialty care facility
- Schedules of all new and existing patients while adhering to proper scheduling procedures and protocols
- Manages the scheduling of interpretation services for non-English speaking patients for Evergreen’s primary care facility and monitors confirmations as needed
- Captures all necessary demographic and insurance information for all patients before scheduling an appointment, including running verification and eligibility
- Ensures the placement of patients with appropriate providers based on specialty and credentialing parameters
- Utilizes the EMR system for timely and accurate data entry
Qualified Candidate will have a high school diploma or GED; must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally; strong knowledge of medical terminology preferred; attention to detail and computer proficiency required; experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems strongly preferred; sensitivity toward cultural diversity, people living with HIV/AIDS and lifestyle and addiction issues is essential.
