Ensures staff who use their personal vehicles for service delivery are maintaining them as clean and free of excess debris. </li>
<li>Reviews timecards for assigned employees according to the JMM payroll schedule and approves timecards according to JM Murray policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Provides ongoing feedback, coaching and supervision to employees with regard to job performance and service delivery. Completes performance reviews for assigned employees in a timely manner, according to established review schedules.</li>

<li>Assists with hiring of staff necessary to provide services, ensuring that applicants who are hired receive comprehensive on the job training. Provides feedback with regard to employees who require supervisory or disciplinary actions and/or terminations. </li>
<li>Performs clerical duties necessary to maintain accurate records and service operations including but not limited to filing, copying, computer entry, organizing and ordering supplies, etc.</li>
<li>Attends all required and requested training and meetings. May be assigned to conduct service specific training. Ensures assigned staff are scheduled for required training, and that they complete and maintain all required training and certifications.</li>
<li>Conducts self in a manner as to always contribute to maximum individual growth and in accordance with all regulations, the DSP Code of Ethics and Company policy and procedures. Represents JM Murray and the JM Murray mission in a positive manner, treating people with respect and dignity.</li>

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Associates degree preferred; High school diploma and significant experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
2-3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred; at least one year coordinating and scheduling work tasks.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Ability to lift, push, pull and move at least 50 lbs.
Sound decision-making skills and judgment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Requires a valid NYS Driver’s License that meets Company standards; requires proof of NYS 
 insurance coverage.
Requires clearance through a Background Check process that will include, but is not limited to, 
 clearance through the NYS Justice Center, the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities
 (OPWDD), the NYS Office of Child and Family Services, and the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. 

WORKING CONDITIONS
Job assignments may take place indoors and outdoors and require travel to various community locations, in various environmental conditions including rain, snow and cold weather.

Job Description
The Fire Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for performing NFPA-25 inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler and standpipe systems in commercial, residential, and industrial facilities throughout New York City. This role ensures that all fire protection systems remain fully operational, compliant with NYC Fire Department (FDNY) and Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations, and that all inspection documentation is completed accurately and on time.
 
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections of fire sprinkler and standpipe systems in accordance with NFPA-25 and applicable NYC codes.</li>
<li>Inspect, test, and document the condition of valves, gauges, alarms, pumps, and all related system components.</li>
<li>Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports through company software (e.g., Salesforce).</li>
<li>Identify system deficiencies and provide clear recommendations for corrective actions or repairs.</li>
<li>Communicate inspection findings to clients, building managers, and internal teams in a professional and understandable manner.</li>
<li>Ensure all inspection tags, records, and required documentation are properly completed and filed per FDNY/DOB regulations.</li>
<li>Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company values when interacting with customers and building staff.</li>
<li>Stay current with all FDNY, DOB, and NFPA updates, code changes, and certification requirements.</li>
<li>Support the service team by assisting with system testing or minor repairs when necessary.</li>
<li>Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fire sprinkler inspection, testing, or maintenance.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of NFPA-25, NFPA-13, and FDNY code requirements.</li>
<li>Required or able to obtain the following FDNY Certificates of Fitness:</li>
<li>
<ul>
<li>S-12&nbsp;– Citywide Sprinkler Systems</li>
<li>S-13&nbsp;– Standpipe Systems</li>
<li>F-60&nbsp;– Fire Guard (preferred)</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Experience using ServiceTitan or similar inspection/reporting software is a plus.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and efficiently.</li>
<li>NYS Backflow Testing Certification&nbsp;preferred.</li>
</ul>
 
Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Ability to climb ladders, access roofs and basements, and work in confined or tight spaces.</li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.</li>
<li>Comfortable working in a wide range of building types and environmental conditions.</li>
