Position Overview:

<li>Performs the following functions regarding athletic injuries: prevention, recognition, assessment, treatment (including first aid) and reconditioning of athletic injuries as set forth by the NATA Board of Certification.</li>
<li>Covers assigned practices, sports games or matches and related events under the supervision of the team physician and/or program manager. Depending on the institution, this may include weekend and/or evening contests.</li>
<li>Depending on the institution, travels with the team to away games, including overnight stays as required.</li>
<li>Develops treatment programs, including indicated modalities, therapeutic exercises and strength and conditioning programs, in accordance with findings of evaluations and goals established by the injury assessment or by the treating physician.</li>
<li>Prepares athletes for treatment and ensures comfort and safety of athletes.&nbsp; Carries out all prescribed treatments and recommendations by the team/program/event physician.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Applies treatment procedures and modalities in accordance with established indications and contraindications.</li>

Many of the children HCZ works with go to public schools and attend its engaging after-school programs. The Promise Academy Afterschool program is an extension of Promise Academy day school. The program provides 500+ students in grades K-12 a safe, nurturing, and educational environment that fosters self-confidence and personal and social development. Students are exposed to various fun-filled project-based learning, developmental, and high-caliber enrichment activities, including arts enrichment (e.g., performing, culinary and visual arts), tutoring, homework help, and academic intervention support as health/wellness and physical fitness education. Additionally, students are engaged in leadership development activities, including student government, character education, and conflict resolution, and participate in several team sports and recreation activities, including football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
We are seeking a part-time Basketball Coach to work with our after-school scholars. The ideal candidate will develop all aspects of a high-quality basketball athletics program and provide scholars with effective leadership.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and execute the basketball athletics curriculum • Create a program that will include daily conditioning, fundamental drills, and a strategic playbook • Communicate and work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents • Monitor and report on student progress and performance both in the classroom and the court • Collaborate and consult with staff on student performance in various athletic activities and schoolwork • Maintain ongoing communication with Athletics Program Director • Develop positive relationships with students that promotes wellness, growth, respect, and self-esteem • Act as a positive role model for students • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification, Skills, and Knowledge Requirements • A commitment to the mission and programs of HCZ • Experience working with youth and adolescent population • A degree and at least two years of coaching experience • Must have strong knowledge and a keen understanding of basketball • Ensure the various athletics curriculums are structured and have clear learning goals • Solid understanding of youth sports and safety guidelines • Must be able to travel to away games or events • Must have strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent writing and communication skills • Positive, enthusiastic, collaborative, flexible, and approachable attitude • Ability to effectively engage and motivate students

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Certified Personal Trainer will be responsible for providing one-on-one and couples personalized fitness instruction in person to clients at their home, apartment gym or outside while encouraging them to reach their fitness goals. Responsibilities are as follows:
