A Nurse Practitioner, under the direction of the of a physician, is responsible for planning, evaluating and delivering the health care of patients on assigned service. <li>Attend site staff and leadership meetings, as well as departmental meetings</li>
<li>Coordinate with the Health Center Director, Dental Director of Operations, and Chief Dental Officer on operational matters</li>
<li>Perform root canal therapy on anterior teeth and other teeth within scope</li>
<li>Conduct full-mouth periodontal exams and develop treatment plans</li>
<li>Take impressions and create models for dentures and crowns</li>
<li>Consult with other healthcare professionals to plan appropriate dental treatments</li>
<li>Extract infected or non-restorable teeth</li>
<li>Provide preventive counseling, anticipatory guidance, and oral hygiene education</li>
<li>Locate and restore cavities following diagnosis and radiographic review</li>
<li>Conduct comprehensive oral exams and document findings using OpenDental and eCW medical record systems</li>
</ul>

 Licensure/Certification Requirements:
