In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing highways, roadways, intersections, and other critical transportation infrastructure projects. What You’ll Do as a Highway Design Engineer
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage highway design projects, including drainage, alignments, and related tasks.</li>
<li>Prepare and maintain comprehensive design plans, detailed specifications, technical reports, and accurate cost estimates.</li>
<li>Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.</li>
<li>Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery.</li>
<li>Proactively support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations.</li>
<li>Assist with field inspections and data collection for roadway projects.</li>

Salary Range $83,000-98,000

Requirements:
What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Highway Design Engineer
<ul>
<li>B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred</li>
<li>5-10 years of transportation experience Highway Design Engineering experience preferred</li>
<li>EIT required</li>
<li>Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it</li>
<li>Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD, OpenRoads, and Bridge Design Software preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred)</li>
