** Billing Associate ** Fully remote ** Contract-to-hire ** $23-25/hr **
A global consulting firm is seeking a Billing Associate to join their finance and accounting team on a fully remote, contract-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, organized, and productive working independently from home. The client is flexible this time around and primarily focused on finding someone with a strong billing background and the discipline to thrive in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Prepare and process client invoices in compliance with engagement terms and in collaboration with internal stakeholders.</li>
<li>Set up new client engagements/matters, including practitioner billing rates.</li>
<li>Review and manage Work in Progress (WIP) to ensure alignment with client agreements.</li>
<li>Track and follow up on outstanding Accounts Receivable (AR) balances to support cash flow.</li>
<li>Generate and distribute ad hoc reports related to WIP and AR as requested.</li>
<li>Monitor and reconcile time entry data, including missing time and time transfers in 3E.</li>
<li>Organize and compile support documentation for billable client expenses.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum 3 years of billing experience in a professional services or law firm environment.</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills—must be responsive and detail-oriented.</li>
<li>Proven ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.</li>
<li>Experience with Elite 3E or similar billing software is a strong plus.</li>
