Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in West Seneca, New York, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and other essential accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and input job cost budgets into accounting systems.
• Generate monthly cost reports and record corresponding journal entries.
• Calculate monthly interest for model and specification homes.
• Prepare detailed loan statements on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Compile and distribute monthly sales and closing reports.
• Monitor and prepare reports on sales representatives' commissions.
• Manage incoming calls and welcome visitors in a courteous and organized manner.
• Organize and distribute incoming mail to appropriate recipients.
• Process, sort, and prepare vendor invoices for payment.• Proficiency in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Strong skills in billing and invoice processing.
• Familiarity with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
