Position Summary:
Ultralife Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll handle a variety of accounting tasks with a focus on accounts payable, including vendor communications, payment processing, and reporting across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Serve as the internal point of contact for all Accounts Payable (AP) questions, issues, and concerns across multiple locations.
- Coordinate AP processing and assist in preparing payment runs for multiple sites.
- Work closely with banking partners regarding payments and transactions.
- Handle vendor communications, resolving inquiries and issues.
- Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms as needed.
- Assist with 1099 preparation.
- Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Provide documentation and support for financial audits.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations as required.
- Maintain AP files and reports.
- Conduct account analysis and prepare related reports.
- Generate and distribute monthly AP reports.
- Serve as corporate credit card administrator.
Accounts Receivable (Backup Duties)
- Assist with customer invoicing, reporting, and new customer setup as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related accounts payable or accounting experience.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals, and procedures.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Comfortable speaking with vendors, customers, and employees.
