Role Summary

Genesis House is looking to welcome a Food and Beverage Director to oversee all food and beverage operations within the Genesis House restaurant. This leadership role ensures exceptional quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction by managing menu planning, staff, budgets, inventory, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The director will work as the liaison for Genesis Motor America and Jackson Dawson to align on all efforts in operating the Genesis House Restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies to maximize profitability and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Operational Management:
    • Overseeing all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and catering services.
    • Plan and coordinate special events, catering, and promotions in collaboration with other departments to drive revenue and brand visibility.
  • Financial Management: Managing budgets, controlling costs (food, beverage, and labor), and maximizing revenue.
  • Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and managing a diverse team of F&B staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service, and implementing quality control procedures.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring exceptional customer experiences and addressing any customer feedback or concerns.
  • Menu Development: Creating and developing menus that are appealing, profitable, and aligned with the overall brand and concept of the establishment.
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory and ensuring efficient procurement of food and beverage supplies.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Provide input on long-term strategies affecting food and beverage operations. Identify marketing opportunities and contribute to the overall business goals of the restaurant.
  • Other responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of food and beverage management, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and beverage service, including mixology.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost controls, and vendor negotiations.
  • In-depth understanding of food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Reports to Senior Vice President of Client Services and Genesis House Director. Position will have 1-2 direct reports in addition to managing and overseeing the restaurant company.

Compensation: $150K-$175K depending on experience.
