Job Description
Our client, a faith and community based organization located in the Bronx, is seeking a temp-to- perm Administrative Assistant to play a key role in supporting daily office and administrative operations.
Rate: $20-22/hour
Office Policy: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and clerical support (e.g., answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling meetings)
- Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining digital and physical records
- Greet visitors and manage front desk responsibilities with professionalism and warmth
- Support event planning and coordination of community programs
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and assist with ordering materials
- Assist in preparing reports, newsletters, and correspondence
- Coordinate with volunteers and program participants as needed
- Uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and faith-based values in all interactions
Qualifications:
- Previous administrative or office experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Respect for and alignment with the organization’s values and community mission
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
