Job Description

Our client, a faith and community based organization located in the Bronx, is seeking a temp-to- perm Administrative Assistant to play a key role in supporting daily office and administrative operations.


Rate: $20-22/hour

Office Policy: Hybrid


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support (e.g., answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling meetings)
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining digital and physical records
  • Greet visitors and manage front desk responsibilities with professionalism and warmth
  • Support event planning and coordination of community programs
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and assist with ordering materials
  • Assist in preparing reports, newsletters, and correspondence
  • Coordinate with volunteers and program participants as needed
  • Uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and faith-based values in all interactions


Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative or office experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Respect for and alignment with the organization’s values and community mission
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
