PJ Lobster House is a thriving seafood restaurant in Port Jefferson, NY. We are professional, fast-paced, challenging and our goal is to find experienced line cooks that understand that high volume shouldn't affect quality. Our commitment is to produce quality food that our customers will come back for time and time again.
Position: Line Cook
Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies / food preparation
- Ensure that food is prepared and presented in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Setup and cleaning breakdowns
- Assist with catering events as needed
Experience:
- Previous mininum 2 year experience as a line cook or in a similar role
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
We are looking for a skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and be able to work effectively in a high-volume kitchen. Cleaning, organization and punctuality are expected. If you have the necessary skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.
Please note that this position will require nights, weekends, and holidays. Sunday is a mandatory shift.
