Salary: $110,000 to $130,000

Job Summary

Who you are: The Executive Production Chef will be responsible for ensuring Union Square events is the key choice for service, culinary and hospitality. This role will be responsible for leading the commissary production. This role will manage a team of sous chefs and supervisors in the production of food with a strong lens for Excellence and business acumen. The ability to motivate the team, collaborate with leaders and support the business unit needs is paramount to success. Confident in presenting and collaborating with key stakeholders.Working as a Senior Executive Chef will allow you the opportunity to work with GREAT people like yourself! The purpose of this job is to lead culinary operations in all areas of a unit insuring on trend, efficient, safe and sanitary food production. You will be responsible for menu development, inventory, purchasing, food cost controls and staff management and development.

What you’ll do:
Effectively partner with the BOH management team to deliver on Excellence
Comfortable presenting in front of all stakeholders (internal/external) with the ability to impact and motivate
Support B&I, Wholesale, Catering, Tastings, and Production
Unwavering commitment to Excellence, driving productivity and, raising the bar
Provide support, leadership, and guidance to the production team
Leadership skills in coaching and keeping teams accountable
Strong business acumen with strengths in food and labor cost
Onsite engagement with the business units (B&I, Catering)
Ability to take feedback, adapt and apply quickly
Collaborate with Culinary leadership to develop systems and processes
Ensure the events, culinary, and BOH team is meeting all safety, compliance, and regulation requirements and conducting weekly Sous meetings and daily lineups
Creating efficiencies such as, reducing waste and ensuring proper Product ID
Develops high culinary standards for our retail, board meals, dining and catering operations
Trains, develops and provides inspirational leadership to local culinary team
Leads Corporate Social Responsibility, food seasonality, health/wellness and high-quality culinary arts on campus
Analyzes ongoing performance and trends in the local operation and devises and leads improvements
Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and is able to explain them to customers accurately
