Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Overview The Repairs Coordinator supports the maintenance team by managing purchase orders, preparing inspection documents, coordinating essential building services, and ensuring compliance with city regulations. This role helps keep property operations running smoothly through strong organization and timely follow-up.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- · Create and manage purchase orders for repair materials and maintenance supplies.
- · Prepare unit inspection forms in advance of annual building inspections.
- · Coordinate the ordering and delivery of heating oil for building boilers.
- · Assist in completing required filings for HPD bed bug certifications and maintain documentation.
- · Monitor and follow up on the installation and tracking of annual window guard inspections.
- · Track and report on maintenance-related performance metrics as outlined in business agreements.
- · Support the Repairs Manager with administrative tasks and communication with vendors and staff.
- · Maintain organized digital and physical files related to repairs, inspections, and compliance.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Associate or HS Diploma degree is preferred
- Minimum of (2) years of experience in property management, low-income, NYCHA, HUD, HPD, REAC, or general people management required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and speak and write with ease, clarity, and impact
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Bilingual in Spanish required
- Ability to partner with others to achieve results
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
- Customer Oriented
- Rigorous and meticulous attention to detail.
