Edison is hiring an onsite Bilingual Spanish Speaking Receptionist! We offer weekly pay between $19.00-$20.00 an hour! Office hours Monday-Friday 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m. The office address is: 930 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11218.Edison Home Health Care, a Help at Home Company, proudly serves communities across New York as part of the nation’s leading provider of in-home personal care services. The Receptionist will support the HR Department, ensuring that operations run smoothly. The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to aides, visitors, and other guests of the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
- Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.
- Process all incoming applicants, answering questions, helping with any inquiries.
- Update applications as documents are received, check certificates in HCR, and update relevant systems as needed.
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks including basic filing and recordkeeping.
- Assists existing employees with the various applications we use.
- Accepts, vets, and processes all incoming documentation – new applications, ongoing compliance, etc. and directs it to the appropriate channels.
- Verify medicals and any other documents that are brought in the office by existing aides and applicants and inform them if any additional documents are required.
- Make copies and organizes medical forms and any additional documents dropped off by the aides.
- Responsible in always providing great customer service.
- Responsible for documenting daily activities as directed.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Required Skills & Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent - Required
- Bilingual in Spanish and English- Required
- Experience in healthcare/home care. - Preferred
- Knowledge of HHA Exchange. - Preferred
- Comfort with Microsoft Office especially excel and similar programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, patients, and their families
- Ability to define problems and tasks, collect data and establish facts, take action and resolve issues
