TITLE: Senior Relationship Banker
LOCATION: Greenbush Commons/Albany
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non Exempt
PAY GRADE: NE 35 ($21.00 - $32.60 per hour)
AVAILABILITY: Monday-Wednesday 8:00am-4:45pm, Thursday-Friday 8:00am-5:15pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm
Position Summary:
The Senior Relationship Banker’s primary focus is to establish and deepen client relationships. You will build client advocates by taking a holistic approach to assisting with their pursuit of short- and long-term financial goals. You will actively participate in a dynamic team environment, contributing to the IMAGINE culture and working with colleagues towards individual and team goals. This position performs all phases of customer service, primarily non-teller transactions, with particular emphasis on delivering quality customer service and consultatively recommending bank products and services. This position will act as a leader in branch sales while motivating staff towards sales goal achievement.
Essential Job Functions:
- Examines financial and personal information to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and to educate customers on various products and services.
- Explains key product features and benefits to deliver appropriate solutions for customer spending, saving, borrowing and investing needs.
- Collaborates with business partners in Wealth, Premier, Business Banking, and Insurance to help customers with complex financial and business needs.
- Prioritizes the delivery of exceptional client service with accuracy and operational excellence, including problem solving and complaint resolution, while leveraging business partners where appropriate.
- Supports the branch by working to achieve individual and team goals through strong client relationships and team collaboration.
- Responds to service requests and inquiries from customers in a timely manner, while emphasizing accuracy and informative follow-up.
- Ensures that all activities adhere to compliance and operational standards. Assist with branch operational activities as directed by management.
- Demonstrates vigilance in detecting and reporting fraudulent or irregular activities.
- Assists the branch manager in managing branch sales activity and mentors colleagues in pursuit of their sales goals.
- Coaches, counsels, trains and develops branch staff in all aspects of their work.
- In the absence of the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager has the responsibility for all phases of the day-to-day operations within the branch, including but not limited to open/close procedures, override privileges and staff supervision.
Education & Experience:
- A high school graduate or GED required or current high school student anticipating graduation.
- Retail and/or cashier/teller experience required, minimum of 1 year CSR experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience required.
- Previous supervisory and or training experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain NMLS license within 6 months of obtaining position.
- Recommended to pass the NYS exam to become a Notary Public within 90 days of accepting position (Study for this exam is independent, but Pioneer will pay for the test.)
