Senior Project Manager – Marine Remediation Project Location: Tri-Borough area preferred Schedule: Monday–Friday (typical) Experience Level: 10+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Starting Salary: $250,000+ (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee a high-profile Superfund remediation project, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, project plans and specifications, budgetary constraints and project timelines. The Senior Project Manager will lead all aspects of project execution, from planning to field operations to owner/stakeholder coordination, ensuring best practices in health, safety and environmental standards.

The ideal candidate will be based in the Tri-Borough area (Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan) and bring a proven ability to manage $20M+ projects involving regulatory oversight, union labor coordination, and high-profile stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

· Direct the full scope of remediation work, including but not limited to, sediment removal and disposal, water treatment, capping, soil stabilization, sheet pile and tieback installation, debris handling, and site restoration

· Serve as primary liaison to the client, client representatives and various stakeholders

· Oversee union labor teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site-specific environmental standards

· Manage project budgets, cost control measures, change orders, timelines, and compliance documentation with proactive risk identification and mitigation

· Negotiate subcontractor and vendor contracts in collaboration with legal and procurement team

· Lead client communications, community interactions, and regulatory site visits

· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and municipal permitting, reporting, and environmental protection protocols

· Supervise multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, field superintendents, safety personnel and QA/QC staff

· Bid and Proposal Preparation

Qualifications & Requirements

· 10+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil, marine, dredging or environmental construction, with at least 5 years managing large-scale environmental remediation and/or Superfund related projects

· Demonstrated experience leading large, union-coordinated projects in urban settings

· Strong understanding of remediation technologies (e.g., sediment dredging, water treatment, capping, soil stabilization), and site investigation processes.

· Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Environmental Science preferred

· OSHA 30, HAZWOPER (40-hour), and TWIC certifications strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

· Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift for extended periods

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

· Required to work in outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind)

· Required to wear PPE, including a hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection

· Must be able to climb ladders, access floating platforms, and work on uneven surfaces

· Ability to navigate active construction and marine sites safely and effectively
