Position Overview:


If you are a dedicated IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with clients to deliver exceptional IT services, we would love to hear from you! As an Account Engineer, you will be part of a team that provides onsite and remote support while under the guidance and assistance of a Senior Engineering Team. As the team member with the most hands-on knowledge of your assigned clients’ IT systems and network infrastructure, you will work closely with your clients to provide technical support, expert guidance, and regularly scheduled maintenance. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, a passion for learning, and a desire to provide exceptional customer service.

Day to Day Duties of the Account Engineer:

The Account Engineer will have the opportunity to work with diverse technologies and solve complex IT challenges for LMT clients.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement IT solutions tailored to meet client needs
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Conduct proactive system monitoring and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Document all activities, configurations, and resolutions accurately and comprehensively
  • Respond to ticket escalations for your assigned Clients
  • Regularly communicate with clients on the status and resolution of issues
  • When necessary, act as the liaison to client vendors for printers, accounting packages, wiring projects, etc.
  • Upon completion of tasks or tickets, update LMT's PSA platform with detailed documentation and accurate time entries
  • Ensure accurate documentation for your assigned clients by regularly reviewing and updating documentation
  • Timely response to client tickets to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Daily review of caseloads for your assigned clients
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to provide innovative IT solutions

On-Call Responsibility

  • Perform after-hour on-call duties on a rotating basis

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting servers, workstations, printers and network switches
  • Experience servicing and troubleshooting:

Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange Server, DNS, DHCP Server, SQL Server, and AD

365 user, mailbox, and SharePoint accounts

Microsoft Hyper-V or ESXi hypervisors

Microsoft Windows 10, 11

Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise systems
  • Knowledge of VMWare and/or Hyper-V a plus
  • Ability to diagnose and prioritize client issues and properly manage client expectations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
  • Strong documentation habits and process-driven mindset
  • Certifications: A+, MCP, MCSE, CCNA, and other related certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of ConnectWise a plus

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions
  • Experience with SonicWall
  • Experience managing Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Services
