Position Summary:
The Vice President of Human Resources is a member of the executive team and accountable for supporting St. John's mission, vision, and Brand Characteristics. This position oversees all HR functions as well as Employee Health & Wellness. This roll is a full-time on-site position with St Johns Home.
Qualifications & Education Required:
- University degree in human resources management and/or development, strategic leadership, organizational behavior or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years previous experience in human resources field in an organizational and/or executive leadership role
- Ability and interest to work in both a strategic and hands on role
- Excellent interpersonal and administrative skills required

Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the Human Resources team to implement process best practices
- Ensures and determines executable strategy by determining the capabilities and resources required (e.g., people, process, systems) for successful implementation.
- Leads efforts to recruit, develop and retain highly effective employees across multiple corporations and locations
- Work closely with organizational teams to build a healthy culture, and a productive and fulfilling work environment for all employees
- Oversee HR functions and processes, including recruiting & selection, compensation structure, benefits, employee relations, talent management, employees health & wellness leadership, learning & development
- Responsible for the Work Life budget related to all employee functions, including supporting compensation structure and staffing plan
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team and various committees to move the organization towards de-centralized, self-directed teams
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team and the Board of Directors in the strategic development of the organization, specifically by supporting the Human Capital Committee
- Mentor department directors, managers, supervisors and other staff in how to successfully apply leadership concepts; that will impact the attraction, retention, motivation and development of future leaders, as well as all employees.
