Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Agile/Scrum Master to join our team in New York, New York, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of projects by fostering collaboration, guiding teams in Agile methodologies, and ensuring smooth execution of Scrum practices. This position offers an opportunity to work in the dynamic financial services industry, where precision and adaptability are key.

Responsibilities:
• Facilitate daily stand-ups and guide teams in adhering to Scrum delivery processes.
• Lead the definition and documentation of project scope, staffing plans, and communication strategies.
• Monitor project progress daily, identifying issues and collaborating with the team to implement corrective actions.
• Manage and report on project scope, schedules, resources, and financials to stakeholders.
• Author user stories and acceptance criteria while ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Collaborate with teams to define quality expectations, schedule defect remediation, and address technical debt.
• Resolve team conflicts and remove impediments to ensure smooth collaboration and task execution.
• Organize and lead key Agile meetings, including sprint planning, daily Scrum, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Limit external interruptions and distractions to maintain team focus on engineering tasks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by facilitating retrospective discussions and implementing actionable feedback.• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mediate conflicts and foster effective collaboration.
• Understanding of financial controls and best practices in project management.
• Practical knowledge of work scoping and estimation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with quality management tools and Agile methodologies.
• Certified ScrumMaster certification is preferred but not required.
