NYC Private Credit - Investment Management Firm
J Harlan Group is currently conducting a search for an experienced and highly motivated FP&A Accountant at a prominent NYC Private Credit - Investment Manager to cover a six-month maternity leave coverage.
An exciting opportunity to report directly to the CFO of this fast-growing and dynamic investment organization that is experiencing exceptional growth! The FP&A Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the ?nancial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. This individual will work closely with the Finance team and other business units to provide key ?nancial insights, support decision-making, and ensure the ?nancial health of the company during the coverage period. There will be a one-month overlap period followed by ?ve months of individual responsibility for the job.
This position requires an ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential.
This individual will be a significant contributor in enabling their vision and helping the organization to grow and improve their businesses. To be successful in this role you must be highly detail oriented and organized, able to meet assigned deadlines and have first class communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts, and short-term liquidity management for the investment vehicles.
- Maintain and update the management company budget and other stakeholder schedules.
- OperationalSupport:
- Collaborate with various business units to gather inputs for budgeting and forecasting.
- Work on investor deliverables including quarterly track record and other metrics.
- Monitor business performance from various revenue streams.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis & Projects:
- Support special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required by the CIO and CFO.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
The ideal candidate would have a background including:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related ?eld.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Accounting.
- Technical Skills: Pro?ciency in ?nancial modeling, and advanced Excel skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
Education:
- Strong academic record and a bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CFA certi?cation is a plus.
- Experience in Private Equity and Management Company operations.
