RESPONSIBILITIES
New Hire orientation - Onboarding:
- Participate in weekly New Hire Orientation and welcome new staff.
- Perform the ADP systems portion of orientation Effectively engage new employees and ensure understanding of HRIS (ADP) system.
Payroll- Time and Attendance
- Communicate with managers to resolve issues with payroll and provide training as needed.
- Track reported issues with payroll system and work with vendor to have corrected as needed.
- Responsible for administering ADP payroll system.
- Collaborate and complete HR projects as needed.
- Work with HR and Payroll team members to ensure accurate and timely entry of all data.
- Respond to payroll-related questions from both employees and Fiscal/HR; Resolve individual payroll issues.
Information system support
- Provide support for ADP HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving ADP HRIS problems, unexpected results, or process flaws.
- Provide assistance for needs such as ADP password resets, monitoring user roles and access, and trouble-shooting unexpected system results.
- Escalate issues to system vendor, by emailing ADP rep as needed. Track support issues.
- Circulate updates on behalf of HR on new hires, separations, transfers, promotions, name changes, or other actions as appropriate.
Change of Status Processing
- Daily management of COS process.
- Tracking COS and supporting documentation.
- Follow up with program staff, as needed.
- Enter changes in ADP HRIS system.
Reporting:
- Run various ADP audit reports to review accuracy of data and make corrections when necessary.
- Run daily termination report.
- Run reports and of work with vendor on ADP niche reports
Database management:
- Manage unemployment claims
- Manage complex spreadsheets
Other duties:
- Prepare and send monthly anniversary letters
- Track HireNYC forms and submit to
- Respond to subpoenas
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor' Degree in human resources, organizational management, business management, or related field, preferred.
- Administrative and strong system experience in a high pace environment.
- Bachelos Degree
- 2-4 years of advanced working knowledge of ADP and or similar HRIS systems.
- Engaging personality and detail orientated skills are essential.
- Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including MS Excel and other standard business technology is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb five flights of stairs, if required to conduct fieldwork.
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
- Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.
- Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
