Comic Relief US, (also known as Comic Relief Inc.) is a registered U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity that harnesses the power of entertainment to drive social change. Funds raised support grantee partners and initiatives that address the root causes and consequences of poverty in the most impacted communities in the U.S. and around the world. LOCATION
Candidates should be based in the NY metro area. We are a hybrid organization and work three days per week in our downtown New York City office.
ABOUT THE ROLE/WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Director of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy to secure funding, sponsorships, and in-kind media donations. This role builds and sustains high-impact relationships with corporate partners aligned with our mission to end childhood poverty. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, experienced business development leader, and strong relationship manager with a passion for social impact.
Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute a national corporate engagement strategy aligned with organizational priorities and revenue goals.

Identify new partnership opportunities to maximize value and impact.

Collaborate with senior leadership to shape compelling pitches that align with prospects business, marketing, and CSR goals.
Fundraising & Partnership Development

Cultivate and solicit major corporate donors and sponsors for campaigns, activations, and events.

Manage a portfolio of existing corporate partners, ensuring consistent engagement, reporting, and renewal.

Oversee proposal development, pitch presentations, and partnership agreements.

Lead cross-functional efforts with creative, communications, entertainment and finance departments to deliver on partnership activations and reporting.
Team Management & Collaboration

Supervise the Manager, Integrated Partnerships.

Coordinate with peer teams (grants, creative, individual giving, etc.) to ensure a cohesive development approach.

Represent the organization at conferences, corporate events, and partner meetings.
Reporting & Evaluation

Track corporate revenue goals, pipeline, and performance metrics.

Prepare regular reports for leadership, funders, and the Board of Directors.

Stay current on trends, best practices, and the consumer brand and media landscapes.
ABOUT YOU
-
7–10+ years of experience in corporate fundraising, business development, preferably with both commercial and nonprofit or cause-based experience.

Experience working with national brands or Fortune 500 companies.

Familiarity with HubSpot or a similar CRM.

Knowledge of cause marketing, in-kind giving, and employee engagement programs.

Proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure partnerships.

Strong network of corporate contacts.

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Strategic thinker with the ability to translate mission-driven work into compelling partnership opportunities.

Collaborative leadership style; experience managing staff and cross-functional teams.

Passion for addressing childhood poverty and a deep commitment to equity and social justice.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
CRUS offers competitive compensation. The salary range for this role is anticipated to be $140,000 - $150,000. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: abilities, skills, work experience, knowledge, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
