Summary:
The Business Outreach Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with professional referral sources, community partners, and local organizations to generate awareness, engagement, and qualified leads for our senior living community. This role blends strategic relationship-building, event coordination, and community presence with a deep understanding of The Kensington’s values and mission. The Business Outreach Manager is a visible ambassador for our community—driving outreach initiatives, attending events, and cultivating partnerships that support occupancy goals and brand reputation.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with professional referral sources including physicians, social workers, case managers, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and senior service agencies.

Identify new networking opportunities and partnerships to expand the community’s reach.

Conduct regular outreach visits and presentations to referral sources, keeping them informed about The Kensington’s programs, services, and unique differentiators.

Community & Event Engagement

Represent the community at health fairs, professional association meetings, chamber of commerce events, and other relevant gatherings.

Collaborate with the Outreach and Events teams to plan, host, and participate in community events that engage referral partners, families, and the public.

Follow up on event leads to ensure timely and personalized communication.

Lead Generation & Tracking

Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted outreach strategies that align with occupancy goals.

Track all outreach activities, contacts, and lead sources in the CRM database to monitor progress and measure effectiveness.

Provide regular reporting on outreach results and suggest adjustments to strategies as needed.

Education & Resource Sharing

Act as a resource for professionals and families seeking information about senior living, assisted living, and memory care.

Coordinate educational presentations and workshops for professional audiences to highlight The Kensington’s expertise and services.

Brand Representation

Ensure The Kensington’s mission and values are consistently represented in all outreach activities.

Maintain professionalism and integrity when communicating about the community, its residents, and services.

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Strong networking abilities and comfort with public speaking.

Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM software.

Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, particularly in senior living or healthcare.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years in business development, community outreach, or sales—preferably in senior living, healthcare, or related field.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent local travel.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events as needed.

Demonstrated passion for serving seniors and their families.
Mental and Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events and visits.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (event materials, displays, etc.).

Comfortable driving to multiple locations for meetings and events.

Must be able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
