This position is responsible for creating key operational reports, performing key cost accounting activities, and helping to ensure the accuracy of the organization’s financials, strength of the controls. You’ll support financial reporting and analysis, manage month-end close processes, and drive cost-saving improvements. We are seeking a dynamic Customer Service Representative to advocate for our customers and facilitate seamless communication across departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operations Reporting & Support
- Design & Develop Impactful Reports that clearly highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, ensuring the operations team has actionable insights to drive performance improvements.
- Cost Accounting: Track and analyze cost transactions, ensuring accurate allocation and identifying variances to support strategic pricing and budgeting.
- Review & Approve New Inventory Items to ensure financial accuracy and ERP/MRP functionality
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Variance Analysis: Conduct thorough variance analyses between actual results and budgets or forecasts, highlighting key trends and recommendations for management.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis Reporting: Provide financial insights for special projects, investment evaluations, and strategic planning initiatives as needed.
- Compile and Review Financial Statements: Work with Finance Lead to develop and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other relevant standards.
Core Accounting & Finance
- Month-end Close: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. Including Journal Entries, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Statement Reviews/Analysis, etc.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain internal controls and procedures that meet regulatory and organizational compliance requirements. Audit & Recommend improvements for internal controls and process where needed.
- AP & AR: Review and Approve invoicing both incoming outgoing to ensure financial accuracy of the transactions
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend enhancements to existing reporting methodologies based on operational needs and evolving financial targets
- Cost Out: be a leader for the finance cost out team by working with plant staff to encourage/develop opportunities to reduce operational costs, create & track projects for success, & validate savings accuracy/performance
Qualification & Education Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and procedures including
account reconciliation. From a software standpoint Microsoft Office or Google Sheets.
Experience Required: Three to Five years of previous accounting experience preferred.
