The Role:
As a Partner in our corporate transactional group, you will:
- Lead Complex Transactions: Take charge of M&A deals, buy-sell agreements, APAs, stop-sell order matters, restructurings, and governance projects from inception through closing.
- Manage and Grow Business: Bring and actively expand a portable book of business—minimum $500,000. Your existing relationships will play a pivotal role in shaping our growth.
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor, offering strategic, solutions-oriented legal counsel that aligns with clients’ business objectives.
- Collaborative Mentorship: Work closely with junior attorneys and support staff, fostering a collegial culture and training the next generation of talent.
- Hybrid Engagement: Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid model—balancing remote work with in-office collaboration to maintain efficiency and connection.
- Balanced Billable Expectation: Deliver approximately 1,500 billable hours annually—a competitive target that reflects our firm’s emphasis on quality over volume.
Qualifications :
- Licensed to Practice in New York and ideally in good standing.
- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in corporate transactional law, including M&A, APAs, buy-sell agreements, restructurings, and governance.
- Deep familiarity with stop-sell order issues within transactional contexts.
- Demonstrated success in managing and leveraging a portable book of business valued at $500,000 or more.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and deal execution skills.
- Excellent communicator with a business-focused, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proven leadership in mentoring, developing junior lawyers, and contributing to firm strategy.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $220,000 – $500,000 annually. additionally, there will be a percentage of cases. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
