Title: Transportation Coordinator PRN role
Location: Richmond Behavioral Associates, Staten Island, NY

Job Description:
When acting as the Transportation Coordinator, the employee is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of potential and established subjects to and from the clinical site as assigned. Complete all transportation procedures, and other duties as assigned, under the direction of the Site Director or designated manger.
Maintain accurate, confidential files and documentation of study participants. In executing these position responsibilities, the Transportation Coordinator/Security Guard is guided by Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and company standard operating procedures and policies.
Responsibilities:
- In a safe and responsible manner transport potential subjects, established subjects, and various items as assigned.
- Maintain principles of good customer service during all interactions with subjects
- Accurately complete and submit all necessary paperwork such as daily transportation sheets and credit card receipts.
- Adhere to seat belt, cell phone use laws including texting, and ensure passengers comply as well.
- Do not smoke in company vehicle and ensure passengers comply as well.
- Keep company vehicle free from damage, in acceptable condition, and consistently clean.
- Report any damage or mechanical malfunctions to the Site Director in a timely manner.
- Work hours as required including overtime as needed.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Maintain an excellent driving record with no more than two violations on the employees driving record at any given time.
- Required to work on holidays
- Assess dangerous scenarios and appropriately route to Site Director/Manager while problem solving
- Additionally, this role may encompass responsibilities beyond those outlined above, as required by the evolving needs of the organization. This job description is intended as a foundation and may be subject to expansion or modification to best suit ERG’s objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education and experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Basic understanding of regulatory requirements, HIPAA, Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines.
- Able to communicate with clients, providers, co-workers, sponsors, and others in a collaborative and courteous manner.
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology to communicate with physician office and staff.
- EMT or BLS certified preferred
- Requirements
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal)
- Substantial concentration in various traffic and road conditions to remain alert and responsive despite potential distractions from passengers.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time
- Basic computer skills to include Word, Excel, as well as proprietary applications unique to the clinical research industry (such as Study Manager)
