Job DescriptionLarimer Law is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Document Review Project Manager to join our team of discovery professionals. The position is on a contract basis and involves managing document review projects and overseeing the document review teams engaged on these projects. In this role, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing review attorneys to ensure the successful execution of the project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in eDiscovery, legal expertise, proven ability to lead and mentor review teams, and passion for building and improving review processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of document review attorneys, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize their performance and productivity.
- Serve as the main point of contact with external subject matter counsel, addressing inquiries, setting up searches, providing updates and generating daily progress reports, and managing counsel relationships related to review projects.
- Develop and conduct second-level quality control workflows.
- Oversee all aspects of the review process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with document review protocols and eDiscovery Best Practices.
- Analyze and code documents for relevance, privilege, confidentiality, issue codes and other critical factors when necessary.
- Support and work with other project managers to coordinate project needs and tasks.
- Conduct regular audits, provide feedback, and monitoring of reviewers and team leads.
- Monitor and track project progress, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
- Work with our internal team and external vendors to assist with workspace development, project set up and workflows.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- 3+ years of experience in managing document review projects.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Relativity, document management systems, and related legal technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and support staff.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology and legal requirements in the eDiscovery field.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and a client-focused approach to project management.
- Relativity certifications preferred or equivalent experience.
Rate:
- $75-$85/hr
