Job Description
- Prepare financial & management reports and help ensure the firm complies with FINRA/SEC requirements.
- Track commissions and other revenues for brokerage, alternative investments, retirement plans, insurance, etc.
- Produce monthly revenue reports for the firm, broken down by business unit and product. Participate in variance analyses and reforecasts.
- Perform general accounting duties such as journal entries to record certain revenues and expenses, and monthly closing entries, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Analyze Pershing data for revenue and expense analysis.
- Prepare monthly reports for Assets Under Management and Assets Under Advisement.
- Perform monthly GL reconciliations and daily bank recs.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly board meeting presentations.
- Work with FINOP to prepare monthly and quarterly FINRA filings (FOCUS Report, SSOI, etc.).
- Work with FINOP and Accounting to prepare audited financial statements, regulatory filings, and support periodic exams and internal audits.
- Assist with brokerage daily operations duties as needed, which includes wealth management customer onboarding, blotter data checks, etc.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years of overall experience including financial industry (broker-dealer) experience.
- Relevant undergraduate degree.
- Experience with brokerage customer onboarding.
- Knowledge of Alternative Investments and RIA’s desired.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with all applicable banking/broker-dealer laws and regulations, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to successfully resolve tasks and issues, using problem-solving skills, sound judgement, creativity, and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills both written and oral.
- FINRA Series 24 or plans to attain it desired.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:
- Strong technical skills including MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Pershing NetX360 experience is highly desired.
- Experience with Oracle GL would be a plus.
- Prior experience with Salesforce and Core Banking systems is beneficial but not required. Other CRM experience is a plus.
Compensation
The expected annual salary for this position is between $85,000 and $95,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
