Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a temp to perm Office Manager to join their Woodbury, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage office operations and serve as the point of contact for administrative needs
  • Ensure smooth operation of office systems, supplies, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate and manage staff and client scheduling, including tax preparation deadlines
  • Monitor the progress of returns and ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Oversee the electronic filing of tax returns using CCH ProSystem fx
  • Ensure all returns are e-filed accurately, and follow up on any rejections or client acknowledgments
  • Utilize CCH ProSystem fx for return tracking, client records, and communication
  • Assist with onboarding and training staff on office systems and CCH tools
  • Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries and ensure a high standard of responsiveness
  • Assist in preparing client engagement letters and follow-up communications

Requirements

  • 3+ years of office management experience
  • CPA or accounting industry background preferred
  • Strong understanding of electronic tax filing processes
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital filing systems
  • Skilled in CCH ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, or similar
