Job Title: Technical Support Technician (Onsite)
Location: 110 William Street, New York, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite Only | Contract (8/1/2025 – 7/31/2026)
Compensation: Up to $35/hour (Hourly Rate Structure)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (35 hours/week)
About the Role
SPORDA Tech is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Technician to join our team. This position is critical to supporting over 7,000 users across 37 locations by ensuring seamless IT support for mobile and desktop technology—especially for the Division of Youth and Family Justice (DYFJ) staff operating in secure detention facilities.
You’ll be working onsite at our IT Service Window at New York City, providing hands-on and remote support, configuring devices, and resolving technical issues that directly impact frontline staff serving New York City families and children.
Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support for smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.

Configure and deploy Windows 10 laptops and Android mobile devices.

Respond to and resolve Tier II support requests—both in person and remotely.

Maintain inventory of IT hardware and software; handle device distribution and disposal.

Support conferencing systems and virtual meeting setups.

Use service desk tools to document and manage support tickets and resolutions.

Assist with staff technology training and onboarding.

Perform technical moves, equipment installations, and repairs.
Qualifications

Proven experience supporting Windows 10, Office 365, Outlook/Exchange, and common productivity tools (Project, Visio).

Strong understanding of mobile device support (smartphones, tablets).

Hands-on experience with desktop/laptop setup and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with remote desktop software (preferably Bomgar).

Working knowledge of LAN/WAN and Windows Server environments.

Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Team-oriented with a service-first mindset.

Comfortable lifting and moving IT equipment as needed.
Certifications (Required)

CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
