The Quality Technician plays a vital role in performance management by analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving actions for supplier development. This position is responsible for proactively reducing and preventing defects in supplied materials, leading cross-functional teams to enhance performance, and mitigating quality risks. The role includes submitting and reviewing supplier corrective action requests, leading on-site supplier engagements, and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive supplier development actions.
- Reduce and prevent defects in supplied materials and verify defect claims.
- Lead cross-functional teams to pursue performance improvements aligned with organizational goals.
- Mitigate business impact from supplied material defects and manage supplier quality risks.
- Submit, review, coach, and accept supplier corrective action requests.
- Lead on-site supplier engagements, including performance reviews, process walks, and Quality System audits.
- Develop solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
- Provide project management guidance and support to projects and processes.
- Exercise independent judgment using methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Lead within supplied material performance organizational strategies and enhance Supplier Quality standard work.
- Influence supplier selection and facilitate cross-functional teams in failure analysis and RCCA investigations.
- Support development and maintenance of work instructions, test instructions, and audit processes.
- Develop and maintain inspection instructions and equipment to meet technical data package requirements.

- Quality control and inspection
- Data entry and admin support
- Quality assurance and visual inspection
- Use of calipers and inspection equipment
- Root cause analysis and data analysis
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- University Degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience or Advanced Degree in a related field
- In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Supplier Management with manufactured products
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Continuous Improvement
- Experience with data analysis, specification review, and inspection methods
- Project management and team facilitation skills
Work Environment
This position is fully on-site, offering an opportunity to earn a full-time permanent position within a well-known and growing company.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
