Position Overview:
A well-established CPA firm with over 80 years of success is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join their growing team. This firm offers a full range of accounting, auditing, tax, and estate planning services, and is known for its professional environment, supportive leadership, and long-standing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables

  • Maintain strong client relationships and oversee engagement workflows

  • Prepare and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns including:

    • Individual (1040)

    • Fiduciary (1041)

    • Corporate (1120)

    • Partnership (1065)

  • Provide tax and financial planning services for high-net-worth individuals, including trusts, estates, gifting, and retirement strategies

  • Develop year-end projections and tax strategies, including quarterly estimates

  • Conduct technical tax research and present findings to internal teams

  • Respond to tax notices and manage audit/examination processes with agencies

  • Supervise and mentor staff accountants across multiple engagements

  • Evaluate team performance and deliver feedback for professional growth

  • Assist in delivering client-facing content, including webinars and updates

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a diverse tax background

  • CPA designation preferred

  • Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax, Engagement, and QuickBooks

  • Strong understanding of current tax codes and compliance requirements

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Effective time management and ability to lead engagements

  • Team-oriented with a passion for mentoring and staff development
