Join The Crew
We are hiring a PR Associate Manager to join our Brand Marketing team. This position reports to the PR & Communications Director and takes Away further by driving earned media strategies, high-impact storytelling, and strong relationships across press, talent, and key cultural voices.
What you’ll do as the PR Associate Manager

You’ll help develop and execute media outreach strategies aligned with brand priorities, identifying opportunities for placements across national, lifestyle, travel, and business media

You’ll proactively build and maintain strong relationships with key media, influencers, and celebrity/VIP stakeholders

You’ll assist in planning and executing PR campaigns and product launches, managing timelines, messaging, media targets, and coverage KPIs

You’ll draft and present regular and ad-hoc PR reports for leadership and cross-functional partners, analyzing results, pulling insights, and surfacing trends to inform future strategies

You’ll oversee the product seeding and gifting program for media and talent, tracking usage, managing inventory, and reporting on ROI to inform budget and seasonal planning

You’ll co-lead PR events, press previews, and experiential activations alongside the PR & Communications Director, assisting in managing outreach, guest lists, logistics, and follow-up coverage

You’ll draft and edit written content including executive Q&As, speaking submissions, award entries, and thought leadership opportunities that elevate the brand voice externally

You’ll provide general administrative support to the PR team, including preparing briefing documents, coordinating sample shipments and logistics, managing expenses, booking deliveries, and organizing internal hospitality needs
Who you are

You have ample PR experience working either at a retail brand or in an agency setting

You have proven past experience securing high-impact media coverage and building strong media relationships

You are a creative thinker with the motivation to think outside the box and translate brand goals into smart, proactive PR initiatives

You are a writer and storyteller, able to craft compelling narratives and communications materials

You stay up to date on industry and cultural trends, using insights and creativity to support PR strategies that grow brand awareness and strengthen our connection with the community and product

You are a relationship-builder and can work with a variety of audiences, including internal and external stakeholders

You have exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and multitasking

You are passionate about the evolving media landscape, the power of storytelling to build brand equity, and transforming travel for all (but that’s a given!)

What We Offer

Our compensation is purposely structured as one rate to provide transparency in the hiring process while honoring our internal pay bands. Salary and benefit offerings are reviewed during phone screenings to ensure alignment.

Compensation: $75,000.00 annually

This role is eligible to participate in Away’s Annual Company Performance Incentive Bonus Plan, the terms of which are determined at the discretion of the company

How We Work
This is an office-based position that works from our Soho, NYC office four days a week. Our working hours are 9am-6pm et, but we embrace a common-sense approach to flexibility in the workplace. It’s about being present, engaged, and balancing work with real-life needs.
