Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to act as the operational handler for our development team. You will be the bridge between management, clients, and developers; ensuring projects run smoothly, deadlines are met, and issues are resolved before they impact client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand projects at a high level, including purpose, scope, and basic functionality of each software product.
- Break projects down into manageable tasks and assign them to the right developers based on skills and availability.
- Ensure developers always have clear, actionable work and check in regularly to monitor progress.
- Identify and remove blockers to keep projects moving forward.
- Provide concise, accurate project status updates to management, including risk alerts when timelines or deliverables are in jeopardy.
- Attend all client calls and monitor support emails.
- Respond to client support emails promptly with updates before clients have to request them.
- Maintain professional, organized workflows and documentation.
- Foster strong relationships with both internal teams and clients to ensure smooth collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in a software company.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and how it relates to overall technology projects.
- Functional understanding of Github, Asana, Toggl, & Jira
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional demeanor and client-focused mindset.
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts at a high level.
Additional Information:
- This is an in-house position initially, with potential to transition to a hybrid schedule for the right candidate.
- Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a Project Management Assessment to demonstrate their skills in task breakdown, resource allocation, and problem solving.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Location: Hauppauge, NY (In-house to start; potential hybrid option for the right candidate)
