THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant to oversee physician payroll and compensation. This role will report directly to the controller. You will manage all aspects of doctor compensation, including complex calculations based on contracts and bonuses. ADP Workforce Now experience is required.
OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU
- You will oversee and process payroll for physicians, managing compensation that includes both salary and variable bonus components as outlined in individual contracts.
- You will collect and analyze compensation data from 3–4 different sources, primarily based on cash collections.
- You will process payroll, run reports, and ensure accuracy; strong navigation and reporting skills within ADP are essential.
- You will manually adjust large, complex spreadsheets to account for contract changes, bonus calculations, and high-value payments.
- You will stay current with all contract changes and compensation structures, ensuring calculations are accurate and compliant.
- Train on specific physician compensation structures and maintain ongoing documentation.
- You will collaborate closely with HR and Finance to support all payroll-related functions and audits.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and have strong attention to detail in all payroll and compensation matters.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- You have a minimum of 2–3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a healthcare or physician compensation environment.
- Must have extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now, including Smart Compliance and advanced reporting/navigation skills.
- You have experience with and are comfortable managing complex, contract-driven compensation calculations.
- You consider yourself to be a master Excel user and have the ability to manually adjust and audit large data sets.
- You are detail oriented, have strong analytical skills, and are comfortable working within tight deadlines.
- You have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
