We are looking for a Kitchen Expeditor to help us open our Manhattan cafe! When you step inside of a Tatte Bakery & Café you instantly feel comfortable and inspired. The Kitchen Expeditor are our lead line cooks who bring our guests comfort and joy by being guardians of our commitment to uncompromising quality and craftsmanship for all our savory dishes. They validate that all plates, allergies, and modifications meet company operating standards, and ensure the flow of service stays consistent with those standards. The Kitchen Expeditor has a passion for cooking with a keen eye for freshness, quality, and cleanliness, and a deep commitment to learning and teaching others.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Maintains the flow of service under company standards regarding ticket times, food quality, plating specs, and guest modifications.

Ensures all orders are to guest satisfaction within company standards

Ensures all orders are visually appealing.

Completes daily safety and sanitation checks using company tools and systems.

Communicates pertinent information to ensure guest satisfaction.

Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.

Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.

Maintains good working relationships with other team members (including managers & support team members) and guests.

Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Upholds safety and sanitation standards.

Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:

The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen

Strong communication skills

Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+lbs

Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on feet

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts

Must be validated on all savory team stations
