We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our team and spearhead growth initiatives across new and existing markets.
Position Summary
The Business Development Manager (Out-of-Network Billing Specialist) will play a critical role in expanding Agility’s client base, strengthening industry partnerships, and promoting our specialized billing services. This individual will work closely with physicians, practice administrators, medical societies, and C-suite executives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong knowledge of medical billing or revenue cycle management, who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Outreach: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with out-of-network healthcare providers, surgical centers, and group practices.
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture lasting relationships with physicians, healthcare executives, medical societies, and other industry influencers.
- Event Representation: Research, plan, and attend industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and medical society meetings to promote Agility’s services.
- Marketing & Branding: Develop and present marketing materials, sales presentations, and customized proposals that effectively communicate Agility’s value proposition.
- Market Research: Stay abreast of trends in out-of-network billing, healthcare regulations, and payer dynamics; identify strategic opportunities for growth.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Director of Operations and CEO on leads, pipeline status, event outcomes, and competitive intelligence.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and high client satisfaction.
- Travel & After-Hours Engagement: Travel as needed (local, regional, and national); attend after-hours events, dinners, and networking functions as required to build connections
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, healthcare business development, or sales (out-of-network experience strongly preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with physicians, administrators, and executive leaders.
- Proven ability to create and deliver impactful sales presentations and marketing collateral.
- Confident networking, negotiating, and managing relationships at all levels.
- Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
- Travel & Availability: Willingness and ability to travel regularly and work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events and client engagement.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Other: Strong research and analytical skills to identify new opportunities and industry connections
