As the Campaigns Director you’ll serve as the strategic leader overseeing the execution and management of advocacy campaigns within regional pods. This role involves fostering a collaborative culture, aligning campaigns with organizational goals, and providing efficient project management. The Campaigns Director plays a key role in integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles into campaign strategies and maintaining strong relationships with pod members.


Key Responsibilities:

Regional Pod Management:

  • Set and maintain focused, strategic goals to achieve organizational priorities within a multidisciplinary team

  • Execute and manage advocacy campaigns within the regional pods

  • Ensure focused day-to-day operations for efficient work completion

  • Collaborate with leadership for streamlined campaign execution

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the regional pods

  • Coordinate seamlessly with Directors to enhance communication and workflow

  • Lead priority-setting discussions and contribute to campaign strategy development

  • Create and document processes for streamlined campaign planning and implementation

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regional pods, offering exceptional project management

  • Collaborate closely with pod members, providing guidance and expertise related to their departments

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pod members, understanding their goals, challenges, and needs

  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand resources and supports to meet pod objectives

  • Ensure seamless integration of efforts across departments and effective collaboration within the pods

  • Utilize strong conflict resolution skills to foster a positive and productive team environment

Project Management and Campaign Oversight:

  • Execute advocacy campaigns in coordination with the Senior Director and team members

  • Ensure effective resource allocation for campaign success

  • Oversee project management of advocacy campaigns, ensuring deadlines are met

  • Schedule, set agendas for, and facilitate regular pod calls

  • Administer pod communication channels for cross-departmental collaboration

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, track deadlines, and provide clear, proactive communication

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective solutions to keep initiatives on track

  • Streamline project management processes, optimizing workflows for increased efficiency

  • Collaborate with pod members to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively

  • Ensure smooth integration of regional pod work with national campaigns and federal legislative work

Strategic Execution:

  • Implement strategic plans developed by the Senior Director and executive team

  • Coordinate with the Senior Director to align campaigns with organizational goals

  • Collaborate on creating annual planning documents

  • Integrate organizational goals into regional campaign strategies

  • Maintain alignment with overarching organizational priorities

  • Leadership of connected work streams as assigned, such as pieces of national campaigns

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):

  • Develop processes and provide a safe space for pod DEI discussions and action steps

  • Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the pods, facilitating discussions and action steps aligned with organizational commitment

Qualifications:

  • Leadership: Proven experience in leadership roles with a track record of fostering high-performance team cultures

  • Strategic Planning: Demonstrated ability to implement and execute strategic plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including resource allocation, risk mitigation, and effective communication

  • Collaboration: Proven experience in collaborative work environments, coordinating seamlessly with team members and other departments

  • Conflict Resolution: Exceptional conflict resolution skills, promoting a positive and productive team environment

  • Communication: Clear and proactive communication skills, including the ability to set agendas, facilitate discussions, and maintain open channels

  • DEI Commitment: Dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience integrating DEI principles into organizational strategies

  • Relationship Building: Strong relationship-building skills, fostering connections with pod members, stakeholders, and external partners

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze campaign data for informed decision-making and future planning

  • Resource Allocation: Effective resource allocation for successful campaign execution, ensuring optimal project outcomes

  • Process Optimization: Experience in streamlining project management processes and optimizing workflows for increased efficiency

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and navigate evolving project requirements

The salary for this position is $140,000-$150,000 per year. Everytown offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental, and vision benefits; paid time off; a 401(k) match; education assistance; and more.
