Our client, one of the nation's top suppliers of furniture and equipment to the NY and NJ educational markets, is actively looking for a K-12 Sales Representative to join their team in Westchester! This role will entail local travel 2-3 days a week in your territory so local candidates are required.

They are currently seeking an experienced and driven K-12 Built-In Sales Representative to maintain and expand their presence in the education sector in Westchester and surrounding counties! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in school construction sales, a deep understanding of the K-12 market, and a proven ability to build relationships with school districts, architects, designers, construction managers and procurement professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with school administrators, facility managers, business officials, general contractors, architects, and superintendents.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the K-12 market.
- Work closely with manufacturers, estimating and project teams to create custom solutions for educational spaces.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and presentations to closing deals and ensuring successful project execution.
- Stay informed on industry trends, product innovations, and competitive offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Attend trade shows, bid meetings and networking events to expand business opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and forecasts in Salesforce
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract furniture sales, preferably in the K-12 or education market.
- Strong network and understanding of the K-12 procurement process, bid requirements, state and national contracts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
