New York Water Tours is seeking a dynamic Hospitality Manager to lead and coordinate the full scope of event and hospitality operations across our venues. Reporting to the Sr. Operations Manager - Marine Experiences, the position will oversee day-to-day team performance, event execution, guest service quality, and vendor coordination to ensure seamless experiences for our guests. This individual will be responsible for supervising hospitality staff, managing budgets, sourcing supplies, and continuously improving our service delivery. The Hospitality Manager will also play a key role in event strategy, logistics, and post-event analysis to drive ongoing excellence.

Responsibilities:

● Interview, hire, train, plan, assign, and direct work to hospitality team members

● Evaluate performances, reward, and discipline associates; address complaints and

resolve problems.

● Empower employees to provide excellent guest service and improve the service by

communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance,

feedback, and improvement plan, and individual coaching when needed.

● Ensure that Liquor Control policies are in place in food & beverage areas and followed

by all related employees or contractors.

● Serve as a role model and demonstrate appropriate behavior.

● Conduct regular staff meetings with colleagues, subordinates, and related parties.

● Plan, optimize, and manage the budget for each event, including optimal staffing and

inventory control. Budget reconciliation following each event to ensure excellent ROI

and analyze for further optimization.

● Source and negotiate all inventory supplies with third-party vendors and suppliers to

ensure optimal budget management. Find and compare pricing from multiple sources for

each inventory item.

● Evaluate overall event impact and plan for continuous improvement. Propose new ideas

to improve the event planning and implementation process.

● Manage event timelines, logistics, and any contractual obligations.

● Responsible for reporting on all post-event metrics including survey results,

actual attendance, and any other analytics.

● Manage the overall event strategy and theme, define the event objectives, suggest

new and creative approaches to engage attendees, implement the plan, and measure

the effectiveness of event experience post-event.

● Lead entire event set-up, execution and close out activities.

● Conduct venue walk-throughs for potential clients.

● Stay aware of market trends and introduce new food and beverage products to meet or

exceed customer expectations to ensure a competitive position in the market.

● Update the food and beverage menus as needed and come up with new attractive

products.

● Assist with entertainment for events such as DJs, live performances, and activities for

kids cruises.

● Required to answer the phone, answer all incoming inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in operations, with 2+ years in a management role. Hospitality, restaurant, F&B experience preferred.
  • Highly hands-on with strong problem-solving capabilities under pressure.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Exceptional team management abilities, with a history of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Work schedule is 50+ hours a week; must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Work locations New York, NY, valid driver’s license required.

Salary Range:
$75,000-$85,000 + Bonus
