We at Symmetrio are recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow a high-performing neurosurgical sales team across the Northeast region, covering Washington, D.C., to Maine. This role is ideal for experienced sales leaders with a strong background in direct and distributor-based medical device sales, especially in surgical settings.
The role focuses on managing a territory team selling innovative neurosurgical technology that enables real-time ultrasound visualization through the skull post-surgery. This platform is transforming how neurosurgeons monitor and treat patients—and we’re looking for a leader ready to accelerate adoption across hospitals, IDNs, and surgery centers.
This role reports to the National Sales Director.
This role offers a compensation of $150,000 base/$250,000 OTE.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and develop a team of 5 direct sales representatives
- Lead and oversee multiple independent distributors supporting regional sales growth
- Drive strategic sales efforts into neurosurgery departments, IDNs, and ambulatory surgery centers
- Own the value analysis committee (VAC) approval process and support reps with positioning new products for clinical and administrative decision-makers
- Coach reps on OR presence, surgical consults, and live case support
- Launch and drive the adoption of new neuro-focused implant and imaging solutions
- Track KPIs, pipeline development, and sales activity to achieve or exceed revenue goals - Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and operations teams to optimize product positioning and market penetration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven success managing both direct sales teams and distributor partners
- Deep familiarity with neurosurgery, OR protocols, and surgical sales processes
- Experience gaining VAC approvals and navigating IDN decision-making structures
- Strong strategic thinking, coaching ability, and territory planning expertise
- Comfortable working in surgical environments and leading by example in the field
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory (DC to Maine)
