Job Description

Our client specializes in the creation of Laboratory Informatics & Management Software (LIMS) for scientific labs. They are currently searching for a R&D Platform Associate to help manage onboarding/setup for users in the system.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$70k - $80k Annually, plus performance bonus

Position Overview:
The R&D Platform Associate will use their technical knowledge to support customers and internal teams by helping organize data, configure systems, and assist clients with onboarding and operational initiatives. This position involves a mix of customer interaction, system setup, documentation, and coordination across teams to ensure smooth adoption of tools and processes.

Responsibilities of the R&D Platform Associate:

  • Support onboarding and set up activities for new and existing users.
  • Communicate with Scientists, Engineers, and Lab Managers about experimental results and data.
  • Organize, structure, and maintain customer or operational data.
  • Configure tools, templates, and workflows to meet user needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on timelines, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Participate in customer calls, training sessions, and walkthroughs.
  • Track project progress and flag risks or gaps.
  • Document processes and support continuous improvement efforts.

Required Experience/Skills for the R&D Platform Associate:

  • 2+ years of experience in a scientific field.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfort working with new tools and learning technical systems.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the R&D Platform Associate:

  • Exposure to data management, reporting, or system configuration.
  • Internship or co-op in a scientific lab.
  • Basic scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python).
  • Experience working with LIMS.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, or another related discipline is required.
