Position Overview:

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Development, the Sr. Analyst/Associate, Strategy & Corporate Development will be responsible for raising corporate capital, sourcing and executing M&A transactions, capital planning, and supporting the executive team in strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the renewable energy sector, exceptional financial acumen, and demonstrated leadership in high-growth environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic M&A: Assist with deal sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis, and transaction execution for solar project M&A and strategic investments.
  • Capital Raising: Drive capital formation efforts, including corporate equity and debt facilities. Assist with negotiations with investors and financial institutions, own and maintain corporate model and financial projections.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with executive leadership to develop and implement company strategy, identify growth opportunities, and support value creation initiatives.
  • Board & Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare board materials and participate in senior strategic meetings. Foster strong relationships with investors, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Evaluate market trends, emerging technologies, and competitors in the DG industry
  • Capital Planning: Assist with creation of company’s cash forecast and participate in capital planning discussions

Qualifications:

Must be passionate about the energy transition, hardworking, and thrive in the fast pace of a rapidly growing company. In addition, the candidate must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity or credit investing, strategy & corporate development, or consulting, with a focus on power, renewables, or infrastructure.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities
  • Highly reliable and dependable
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 including Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Location: New York, NY with at least 3 days a week in Aspen’s Bryant Park office

Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position is: $110k - $150k, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and initial and subsequent annual equity awards, all at the sole discretion of the Company and in accordance with Company policy. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.

Note that title and salary will be commensurate with candidate experience.
