Tax Senior
Position Overview
The Tax Senior will play a crucial role in managing and supporting tax compliance and consulting projects for our clients. This position requires strong technical knowledge in tax regulations and the ability to provide strategic guidance to clients in order to minimize their tax liabilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Will be a mix of accounting services and tax preparation.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize their tax positions.
- Manage and mentor junior tax staff in the preparation of tax returns and compliance processes.
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and represent clients during audits as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients.
- Provide guidance on sales tax issues and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Experience with sales tax is a must.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
