Marketing Copywriter – Fashion E-Commerce | NYC Onsite | $35–$41/hr (W2 Contract)
Duration: 10 months
Location: Onsite in NYC
Pay: $35–$41/hour W2 (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 via Russell Tobin)

Are you a sharp, fashion-savvy copywriter with a knack for storytelling and a love for digital retail? We’re supporting a globally recognized online retailer known for its curated, trend-forward fashion marketplace in their search for a creative, organized, and editorially driven Editor I to join their in-house brand team.

This is a unique opportunity to bring your editorial eye to a leading digital fashion destination that merges luxury, edge, and commerce—helping shape content that speaks to millions of stylish shoppers worldwide.

What You'll Do:

  • Craft compelling, on-brand copy for a range of digital touchpoints including homepages, emails, social campaigns, mobile app messaging, UX, and promotional content.

  • Adapt tone and voice seamlessly across formats—whether you’re writing a fashion-forward editorial, a playful subject line, or a sleek product blurb.

  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, creative, fashion, and CRM teams to shape cohesive narratives across platforms.

  • Help define and evolve the brand voice—making it both authoritative and accessible to a diverse, global audience.

  • Stay plugged into the style zeitgeist with a deep awareness of fashion trends, competitive retail content, and editorial best practices.

What You Bring:

  • BA from an accredited university

  • 2+ years of experience in copywriting, editing, or content roles—experience in e-commerce or fashion is a major plus

  • Strong command of short-form, punchy writing that delivers impact across editorial, promotional, and UX content

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with speed, clarity, and strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency with SEO best practices and editorial style guides (CMOS, AP, or in-house)

  • Familiarity with fashion trends and industry players (bonus points for familiarity with this brand’s top designers!)

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Basic Excel skills (you won’t be crunching pivot tables, but comfort in spreadsheets is helpful)
